Bill Gossman

Former President & CEO

Bill Gossman Gossman is a seasoned executive with more than 25 years of hands-on experience building and leading high-growth organizations primarily in digital media and mobility, and is a pioneer in behavioral targeting and enabling media delivery to cell phones. Bill's unique perspectives on the convergence of consumers, media, technology, and business has made him a frequent speaker, writer, and commentator on these issues. He regularly speaks at leading industry and financial forums.

Prior to joining Revenue Science, Gossman was a partner at Mohr, Davidow Ventures (MDV), where he applied his extensive corporate and startup experience to help grow and develop MDV's portfolio companies. While at MDV, Bill filled several executive positions at its portfolio companies, including CEO of Sabrix, CFO of nLight Photonics, and Strategic Advisor to Quake Technologies.

Before his tenure at MDV, Bill served in corporate development as VP Business Strategy for Software.com and served in business development for Openwave following Software.com's merger with Phone.com. He co-founded @mobile, a wireless Internet software and services company, where he served as COO and CFO, and later engineered the company's $400 million merger with Software.com.

Bill has held management, technology, and marketing positions at Lucent, Hughes, Northrop, and AT&T Wireless Services. His technical interests span artificial intelligence, signal processing, and distributed systems. He holds 12 patents and has a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University, a Master of Science degree from MIT, and an MBA from the University of Maryland.

Additionally, he is a member of the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB), the Online Publishers Association (OPA), the National Advertising Initiative (NAI), and the Board of Visitors at the University of Maryland's Smith School of Business. He serves on the board of Pelago and is an investor iLike and RealSelf. He and his wife Cheryl are founders of the Center for Pediatric and Perinatal Simulation at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle.
