Media And Advertising Veteran Nick Johnson to Head Revenue Science Business Development Center in Manhattan

SVP is Latest Addition to High-Powered Senior Management Team

BELLEVUE, Wash. (February 6, 2004) — Revenue Science, Inc., the leading provider of behavioural targeting for online advertising, announced today that Nick Johnson has been hired as Senior Vice President of Business Development to lead the company's new New York City Business Development Center, which will be in midtown Manhattan. Beginning immediately, Johnson is focusing his efforts on creating, communicating and implementing partnership strategies with advertising agencies, large publishers and advertisers to capitalize on the growing demand for Revenue Science's behavioural targeting services.

Johnson comes to Revenue Science with more than 12 years of advertising and media experience. Most recently, he was National Sales Director at Lycos, responsible for growing branded advertising revenue and building a sales team that represented best media practices. His work also involved identifying and developing strategies for revenue development as well as helping advertising agencies and clients build marketing platforms throughout the Lycos Network. Prior to Lycos, Johnson spent six years with Turner Interactive working in both sales and business development roles for CNN, CNNMoney and CNNSI. He also has a broad background in marketing and advertising, including time spent on both the agency side as well as the corporate brand side.

Premier Management Team

According to Revenue Science, Johnson is the perfect complement to one of the most experienced senior management teams in the industry, comprised of veterans of the Stanford Computer Systems Laboratory and executive positions at companies including Openwave, Microsoft, Accenture, RealNetworks, BroadVision and Liberate.

"Nick Johnson's deep expertise in advertising and media-both online and traditional-will be invaluable in building the premier behavioural targeting ecosystem for Web advertising," said CEO Bill Gossman. "We're extremely pleased that a respected individual like Nick has chosen to work with Revenue Science and we look forward to his leadership as we open our new Business Development Center in the media capital of the world."

Gossman added that while Revenue Science has several employees currently working in New York, the new office will provide a base of operations to better service its online publisher clients and their advertisers, and will be headquarters for the company's business development activities. Revenue Science expects to begin operating out of the office this month.

Other Side of the Fence

According to Johnson, Revenue Science's behavioural targeting services offer solutions to many of the issues he faced every day on the publisher side. "I understand the tremendous impact that the company will have in online advertising and I look forward to not only bringing this solution to publishers and agencies, but ensuring that it is implemented effectively to deliver the highest-quality audiences to advertisers," he said.
